Modular Link Seals

Modular seals are used to create watertight and gas tight seals between pipes, regardless of the size of the pipes. These seals are often used to seal pipes that pass through walls, floors and ceilings. They not only prevent leaking from the system, but also prevent contaminates from entering the system. Modular seals provide a low-cost solution when tight seals are needed. Modular seals can be used on many materials, including PVC, CPVC, copper, steel, cast iron and even concrete.

At PVC Fittings Online, we offer both Link-Seal and PEN-SEAL modular seals. Link-Seal modular seals are available in carbon steel with a two-part zinc coating or with stainless steel hardware. PEN-SEAL modular seals also come in stainless steel or carbon steel options. These modular seals are rated to handle up to 20 psig and can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. They can also hold up under 40 feet of head pressure. This makes them ideal for use in home plumbing, gas and electrical systems. Modular seals are typically used for piping that passes through walls and floors, but it can actually be used for any cylindrical object that needs to be permanently sealed. In addition to plumbing and gas lines, these seals may be used for cables used in the telecommunications industry, concrete pipes or cylinders and even ductile iron.

Modular seals can be tricky to order. If you are using one for the first time, consider calling us first to learn more about these seals. When used properly, modular seals are an effective way to seal a pipe system, but they do require a fairly specific setup. All modular seals are sold by link, so you need to speak with an expert or check the manufacturer-specific sizing guide to determine which size link you need.
