Pipe Straps

Our plastic pipe strap selection ranges from 1/2" through 6" size straps. Our PVC pipe straps have two holes for securing the pipe to a solid surface. Choose the strap size that matches your pipe size - for instance, you would choose a 1" pipe strap for 1" PVC pipe. Our two-hole pipe straps are easy to screw into place, and their unique design holds pipe away from the surface to prevent chafing and prolong the life of the pipe (compared to standard pipe strap designs).

Types of Pipe Straps

Pipe straps come in several designs and styles. The most common distinction is in number of holes. The most common types are the one hole pipe strap and two hole pipe strap. The one hole strap has a single pre-drilled hole for attaching the strap to a surface with a screw or fastener. The 2-hole pipe strap has two holes as the name implies. Generally, two-hole straps are more secure due to the second anchor point.

Pipe straps are also made in different materials. Our straps are plastic and have the benefit of rust resistance and durability. Other straps may be made of metal, and be stronger, but also prone to rust and corrosion. The material you choose will most likely depend on the pipe support application and your specific needs.

Why Use Pipe Straps?

Sometimes called a pipe hanging strap, these supports are often used to hold pipe in place. Because PVC pipe is not completely rigid, it will bend and bow, unable to support itself entirely in long stretches. That's where pipe supports like straps come in handy. In fact, many building codes require the use of pipe supports. Without properly supporting a pipe line, it puts undue stress on the pipe and the joints, making the system vulnerable and prone to leaks and breakage.

Our economical and attractive white plastic straps are also great for non-plumbing applications, like furniture grade PVC projects. Our straps fit all standard PVC pipe, and can even be used in non-plumbing projects like stage design or furniture grade PVC ideas.
