Clear PVC Wyes

PVC wyes can be used to create one flow from two distinct branches. They can also be used to split flow into two separate lines. This happens in situations where a main line needs to be split between two different parts of a lab, or in situations where two chemicals need to be mixed to create a new chemical. This is similar to the function of tees, but with a tighter angle over the 90-degree angle on tees, giving wyes the distinctive "Y" shape that lends them their name. Either way, when you are mixing chemicals and need to be able to see inside the system, you can do so with these clear PVC wyes. Clear PVC wyes are available in diameters ranging from 1 1/2 inches to 6 inches, with a 6 inch by 4 inch reducing wyes also available.

Clear PVC wyes offer all of the benefits of standard PVC, but with see-through materials. The PVC is schedule 40, which means it is able to withstand moderate pressure and temperatures of up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be used indoors or outdoors and can handle the corrosive properties of acids and bases. All of this is possible in a material that provides full visibility of the chemicals and fluids being transported inside the pipes. This clear PVC is completely clear, not tinted blue like other products, so you can be certain that visibility will not be impaired.

All clear PVC wyes sold here meet ASTM D1784 and NS14-14 standards. They are commonly used in laboratory and clean room settings, but they are durable enough for use in a wide range of situations, including manufacturing plants and home systems. Any time chemicals need to come together or lines need to split while maintaining visibility in a system, wyes do the job well. Wyes feature slip sockets that can be cemented into place when a tight seal is required.
