DWV PVC expansion joints handle a unique problem pipelines face when exposed to different environmental factors. Things like temperature fluctuations cause pipe materials to expand and contract, meaning the entire line is pushed and pulled as it adjusts. Expansion joints like the ones we offer create a movable section that expands and contracts along with the pipe line to relieve pressure and prevent damage and breakage of the pipe and fittings.

These fittings are especially useful if pipe is being installed in an environment where temperature cannot be kept constant, for instance a crawl space. This area may experience a wide range of temperatures throughout the year, putting stress on the pipe. Like all our PVC fittings, our DWV expansion joints are resistant to a variety of chemicals and can handle temperatures up to 140 degrees F. They meet all the required ASTM and NSF requirements and come in different end types to suit your application. The two styles we feature a Hub x Hub and Spigot x Hub. Hub ends slide over pipe and spigot ends slide into pipe.

We carry a range of sizes of expansion joints. You should choose a fitting that matches your pipe size and install the joint in an area of the pipe line that will be under stress from expansion or contraction. Get all your DWV supplies from PVC Fittings Online and see how much you can save!
