DWV Reducers

  • For Drain Waste Vent Applications • ASTM D 3311, 1866, 1784 Standards
  • Reduces or increases pipe size • NSF International Standard 14 Certified
  • Maximum Operating Temp of 140°F • Easy solvent weld installation

DWV reducers couplings are designed for both residential and commercial applications. Made from durable PVC, these couplings join pipes of two different sizes. They increase the integrity of the joint and also increase its abrasion resistance. They represent a cost effective way to join pipes when two different sizes are needed. All our DWV reducers meet ASTM D 3311, 1866, 1784 standards. They are also NSF International Standard 14 Certified.

The DWV in these couplings stands for drain, waste and vent, and they are specifically designed for these applications. The unique properties of PVC, including its durability and corrosion resistance, these DWV fittings will not scale, rust or pit. The smooth interior wall prevents resistance for the fluids transported in the pipes. However, when used as reducers, some resistance is created by the reducing process.

These reducer fittings feature a slip socket design. A solvent weld provides a durable hold to ensure that they stay where they need to and do not allow fluids or gases to escape. The Schedule 40 PVC has a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees and can withstand the amount of pressure necessary for commercial or residential drain, waste and vent applications. These fittings are chosen specifically for the durability of the Schedule 40 material, which can be used in outdoor and indoor settings, will not warp due to temperature changes and resists corrosion from toxic chemicals and fumes.

We stock DWV PVC reducer fittings in a wide range of sizes. Choose from diameters as small as 1 1/2 inch all the way up to 8 inches. If you do not see the size range you need for your project, contact us to see if we can special order it. Because of the durability and affordability of PVC, these make a cost effective solution for creating a tight bond between two pipes of different sizes.
