Sch 40 PVC Caps
Sometimes a PVC pipe or piping system will end with an opening that does not need to be connected. When this occurs, the flow needs to be stopped and Schedule 40 PVC caps (standard white plastic caps) are designed for this purpose. When a line ends, a cap stops the flow, providing an affordable system solution or future access.
Ratings: Max temperature 140 F. Max pressure varies based on fitting size. Our schedule 40 caps (excluding class 125) meet standards ASTM D-1784, ASTM D-2466/2467, NSF/ANSI 14 & 61.
We Carry: Threaded, Non-Threaded, Male, Female, Flat and Domed Caps - 3/8 of an inch to up over 2 feet.

Caps can be used in fluid systems or in construction using Schedule 40 PVC pipes. When building a framework or tent, for instance, pipe ends may be left exposed. Leaving these open allows moisture inside, which can create a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Caps prevent moisture from entering the structure, keeping it clean and giving it a finished look. They also prevent small animals or insects from crawling inside exposed and open pipes, which could create problems no matter what the pipes are used for.
Schedule 40 PVC pipes are available in diameters from 1/4 inch to 12 inches. This means they can be used in most systems, no matter the size of the pipe. They also are available with slip ends or female threaded ends, so they can be fitted using the pipe's threading or using an adhesive.
All of these caps are made from durable Schedule 40 PVC, which means they can withstand the effects of underground applications or exposure to the elements. The material is quite affordable too, providing a solution for capping a system on a tight budget. In addition to the Schedule 40 PVC caps, Class 125 caps, which are rated to withstand pressures up to 125 psi, are also available. This wide range of options ensures that contractors can find exactly what they need, and at an affordable price, when shopping here.
