These Schedule 80 CPVC adaptors feature both male and female ends to connect to most potential layouts. While somewhat simple in their design, these are nonetheless vital to many applications and they need to be durable enough to withstand the pressure that comes from reducing the flow from a large pipe to a small pipe. That is what makes the CPVC Schedule 80 adaptors so important in applications involving high pressure. The additional pressure of reducing the flow can lead to problems, but the strength of the Schedule 80’s thicker wall combined with the additional strength of the CPVC make these particular fittings a good choice for this application. The smooth interior surface provides a benefit over metal fittings, because the system does not lose pressure as a result of friction in the wall of the fitting.
