Sch 80 CPVC Nipples
When two fittings or a fitting and a pipe that both have female ends need to be connected, a nipple allows this connection to be made. These Schedule 80 CPVC nipples are small connecting pieces that have male threads on both ends, so they provide a connection between the two female ends. These can be used to connect two different fittings, a fitting to a pipe, or a fitting to a funnel or tubing.
Our schedule 80 CPVC fittings meet ASTM D1784 Standards and are NSF-14 Certified.
When installing a Schedule 80 system, all parts must be rated at Schedule 80. Because all pipes have the same exterior diameter, the thicker Schedule 80 material causes these pipes and fittings to have a smaller interior diameter than those rated at Schedule 40. This slight difference means that the connection and seal will not be tight if the two schedules are mixed. These Schedule 80 CPVC nipples are designed specifically to accommodate the smaller interior diameter of Schedule 80 pipes and fittings, so they can fit tightly within a Schedule 80 system.
These nipples are also made out of the extremely corrosion resistant CPVC material. This particular material is able to withstand highly corrosive materials, and thus is well suited for chemical processing applications. It also has been tested to withstand temperatures up to 210 degrees Fahrenheit, which means these nipples will not melt when faced with high temperature solutions.
The Schedule 80 CPVC nipples are available in sizes from ½ inch to 6 inches, are dark gray in color and offer an affordable way to make tight connections within Schedule 80 systems.. In addition to connecting pipes and fittings of the same diameter, they can also be used to connect fittings or pipes of two different diameters. These options range from small ½ inch connections on one side all the way to 6-inch connections on the other, providing versatility for a range of applications.
