Summer DIY Projects with PVC Pipe for Kids

Summer is officially here! That means it's time for you and your family to have some fun in the sun! It also means that the kids will probably want some new toys for the pool or the yard. Before you start worrying about how expensive toys from the store can be, consider making one or more of these fun summer DIY projects using PVC pipe! PVC pipe is an inexpensive material that is versatile and easy to work with, so you can make toys just as good as the ones you could buy for much cheaper! If you are simply looking for DIY projects for summer, look no further! These should keep you and the kids busy for a while!

2. Run-Through PVC Sprinklerrun through pvc water sprinkler toy on grass with children

When it comes to summer DIY projects for kids, this is one of the best. It is similar to the previous PVC sprinkler in what it does, but the structure is completely different. When this DIY project is assembled, it is big enough for most kids and teenagers to walk under. It uses holes drilled in pipe to spray water inwards, soaking anything (or anyone) that passes through! All you need is a hose to attach it to.

While we're looking at easy DIY projects for summer that use holes in PVC to spray water, this PVC "Water Volleyball" game should be mentioned. This project also encourages competition, but maybe not the friendly type. This PVC water balloon catapult  launches water balloons amazing distances and can be made out of PVC pipe and some common household materials. It has a stable frame that will not fall apart and uses a pool noodle to pad the arm of the catapult. This means that it is durable and will live through hundreds of balloon barrages!
