Stainless Steel Gate Valves

For some of the more demanding jobs, we stock a selection of metal valves in addition to our high quality PVC valves. One type of metal valve we have available is the stainless steel gate valve. Manufactured by Sharpe, our stainless steel gate valves are made of top-quality 316 stainless steel. They are also built with non-rising stems, so the valve can open and close without the handle moving. This is perfect for when you want to install a gate valve in a tight space. Another feature of these stainless steel gate valves is the threaded ends, which make installation easy. They can be placed into a new or existing pipeline with minimal trouble. Because of how durable stainless steel is, these valves are perfect for outdoor use in all kinds of conditions. They are also commonly seen in a variety of hot water applications in both residential and commercial buildings.

Gate valves are straightforward, mechanically, but are also extremely versatile. Our stainless steel metal gate valves have solid wedge disc that acts as a gate inside the housing. It slides into place, blocking the flow when the valve is in the “off” position. When the handle is turned, this disc slides out of the way to allow fluid to flow through. Our Sharpe stainless steel gate valves are available in a range of sizes, from ½ inch to 2 inches. They are all controlled with a wheel that can be turned to open or close the valve. To leave the stainless gate valve partially open, allowing for reduced flow through a system, you can partially turn the wheel.

Metal valves, such as these stainless steel gate valves, are often used instead of PVC valves in high-temperature applications. They can also withstand higher pressures than PVC parts. The stainless gate valves we supply can withstand a whopping 300 psi, making them some extremely tough parts. While brass gate valves are the more affordable option, they do not match the quality of these exceptional 316 stainless steel gate valves. SS can handle a greater range of temperatures and pressures than brass, making it one of the best materials for piping and valves. To buyers who are familiar with metal valves, Sharpe is immediately recognizable as one of the leading brands in stainless steel parts. And because of our excellent supplier relationships, we are able to sell them at near wholesale prices.
