The end type tells you what it pairs with, so a socket (slang term is slip) fitting fits OVER pipe. The size associated then tells you what size pipe it pairs with. Since the ring of the flange fits OVER 8" pipe, it's ID will match the OD of the pipe, which is 8.625".

The maximum OD (the entire flange's OD) is about 13-5/8". The OD of where the pipe slips in is about 9-3/4".

Since we stock a variety of manufacturers, this flange may be either Spears or IPEX, and the dimensions vary slightly (barely!) between the two, so we have supplied the dimensions for both brands below:

Outside Diameter of entire Flange (Max OD): 13.625” (Spears) or 13.58” (IPEX)
Bolt Circle Diameter: 11.6875” (Spears) or 11.705” (IPEX)
Overall Height (L): 4.53” (Spears) or 4.575” (IPEX)
