Sch 80 CPVC Caps

Schedule 80 CPVC caps work like a plug at the end of the pipe, sealing in the liquid with a watertight seal. They offer the strength and durability of both Schedule 80 rating and the CPVC material. This makes them ideal for industrial, waste water and chemical applications, particularly high risk applications where leaking fluids carrying toxic or corrosive chemicals could contaminate the entire system or put the environment at risk.

When used with threaded systems, caps come with female threads to attach to the male end of the pipe. In some systems, a non-threaded application is preferred, and slip-on caps are ideal for this. Adhesive can be used with the slip-on models to improve the tightness of the seal and prevent leaking fluid. This is different than a plug, which has male threading and fits inside the pipe it is mated to.

Our schedule 80 CPVC fittings meet ASTM D1784 Standards and are NSF-14 Certified.

These caps are Schedule 80 caps designed specifically for systems using Schedule 80 pipe. This means that the interior diameter of the cap will account for the smaller interior diameter of the Schedule 80 pipe. It also means that the caps carry all of the benefits of the thicker material. They can withstand higher temperatures and resist corrosion better than the thinner Schedule 40 caps.

In addition, these caps are made from the durable CPVC material. This means that they can withstand the stress of high temperature fluids, and are highly resistant to damage from both heat and cold. They can also withstand significant amounts of pressure, which helps to keep the liquid within the system from escaping. Their corrosion resistance also allows them to be used in underground systems, where metal fittings would not work well. This makes these caps well suited for many industrial and chemical applications, particularly where corrosive or high temperature fluids are involved. Schedule 80 CPVC pipes come in a range of sizes from ΒΌ an inch diameter to 12 inches and are dark gray in color.
