Sch 80 CPVC Plugs

Schedule 80 CPVC Plugs are used to close the end of a fitting. They have a male threaded end to fit inside the fitting they are going to be mated with, sealing tightly and preventing the leaking of any fluids from the system. They offer an affordable way to close the end of a pipe system tightly enough to prevent any fluid leakage. The screw-in design makes them simple to install and replace, and does not require adhesive to create a strong, tight seal. This makes them perfectly suited for applications where the plug may need to be removed to allow for the addition of another line to the system. CPVC plugs are also available in spigot style ends that are glued into a fitting.

Our schedule 80 CPVC fittings meet ASTM D1784 Standards and are NSF-14 Certified.

In systems that use high pressure, such as firefighting systems, the strength of the materials of the pipes and fittings is important. That is what makes Schedule 80 CPVC plugs so popular in these industries. Not only are these plugs made from the stronger and thicker Schedule 80 materials, but they are also made from CPVC. CPVC has greater temperature and corrosion resistance than PVC. The CPVC material has been proven in multiple computer generated stress analysis and laboratory tests to offer the highest performance of any material available for pipe fittings, and these strong plugs will stay in place in even extremely high pressure situations. CPVC can also stand up under temperatures of up to 210 degrees Fahrenheit, making them the plug of choice for handling hot liquids.

These Schedule 80 CPVC plugs range in size from ΒΌ inch to 4 inches and are dark gray in color like the other CPVC pipe fittings. They can be used with all Schedule 80 CPVC pipe systems requiring a plug to stop the flow at the end of a pipe. These caps are commonly used in systems that move corrosive liquids, chilled water distribution, waste water treatment, plating and other chemical processing applications.
