Black Malleable Iron Nipples

This BSN24 fitting is a 2" x 4" Black Malleable Iron Nipple with two male-threaded connections. This fitting is designed to connect two 2" fittings that are in close proximity to each other. This gets eliminates the need to thread both ends of a short piece of piping, which saves time and money! Installing black iron nipples is simple, as they do not require welding or soldering like cast iron pipe. All that is needed to create a lasting seal is some inexpensive thread sealant tape. Black iron is resistant to pressure, heat, and corrosion, so it is most often found in gas systems.
