When a piping system or structure made from PVC requires the connection of pipes of two different diameters, contractors can use fittings to accomplish this. Schedule 40 PVC bushings are one type of fitting that allows for this type of connection. These fittings are slightly different than couplings, although couplings can also connect two pipes of different sizes. Bushings, unlike couplings, tend to have threaded ends, although some models do have slip ends. This allows for a tight seal without the need to use an adhesive product. This works well in situations where the pipes may need to be removed or replaced regularly and flow or pipe size needs reduced.

Max temperature 140 F. Max pressure varies based on fitting size. Our schedule 40 bushings (excluding class 125) meet standards ASTM D-1784, ASTM D-2466/2467, NSF/ANSI 14 & 61.
