Sch 80 CPVC Bushings

PVC pipe systems often require the addition of a pipe of a different diameter into the system. When this is necessary pipe reducer bushings allow for the connection of two pipes of differing diameters. Schedule 80 CPVC pipe reducing bushings provide all of the benefits and strength of Schedule 80 CPVC when connecting two pipes in this manner.

Our schedule 80 CPVC Reducer Bushings meet ASTM D1784 Standards and are NSF-14 Certified.

What makes Schedule 80 CPVC reducers different than couplings, which also connect pipes of two different sizes, is the fact that the bushings offer the chance to screw the new pipe onto the existing pipe. Bushings contain screw threads to securely connect the smaller pipe to the existing pipe. These fittings have smooth interior walls, so they cause less of a loss of pressure than their metal counterparts, yet they are also more affordable than metal bushings. This makes them the ideal choice for CPVC pipe systems that require steady water pressure while also requiring the ability to step down from one pipe diameter to a smaller one.

Schedule 80 CPVC Reducers come in a range of sizes, from an opening diameter of ½ to 12 inches and end diameters of ¼ to 8 inches. These fittings are light or dark gray in color and can have the screw threads on the inside or outside of the design, depending on the type of pipe being fitted to them.

Because they are made from Schedule 80 CPVC, these fittings are rated at 200 psi at 73 degrees Fahrenheit, making them stronger than the typical Schedule 40 options. This makes the suitable for high pressure applications, like chemical processing, chemical processing plants, factories where high temperature liquids may need to be transported from one location to the next.
