Backwater Valves

Backwater valves are a useful valve often used in locations prone to flooding. They are placed in a home's main drainage pipeline (lateral), which connects to the sewer. They use a disc-shaped hinged seating to allow flow in only one direction. If the sewer fills with rainwater and tries to flow back up the drainage pipe, the valve closes and prevents wastewater from spilling into your home. We provide PVC sewer backwater valves in the most common drain sizes as well as adapters for deep burying installations.

PVC is a fantastic material for backwater valves due to its strength and corrosion resistance. It is also compatible with many drainage systems, which are commonly made of PVC or CPVC. Our backwater valves are simple, yet extremely effective, with an operation similar to a swing check valve. What sets a backwater valve apart, however, is the ease of access it offers. Backwater valves have access ports that allow for easy maintenance and cleaning, which can be vital when dealing with sewage systems.
