Metal Straight Stop Valves

Stop valves, commonly referred to as shut-off valves, connect an appliance to the main water line in a home. As water travels to an appliance, such as a faucet or toilet, they must pass through a stop valve. Stop valves can be closed to cut off water supply to an appliance. This is extremely helpful, as it lets you perform maintenance or replace an appliance without having to shut off the water supply to the entire house. There are main categories of stop valves: angle and straight. Straight stop valves keep the water traveling in the same direction it was before entering the valve. These valves are typically utilized in situations where the water line is coming from the floor. If the appliance is above the water line, a straight stop is a perfect option.
