Type C polypropylene camlocks feature a female coupler and a hose barb, and are commonly used in conjunction with Type E, A, F, and DP camlocks. When the adaptor is inserted int the female coupler and makes contact with the sealing gasket inside, you pull down the arms to complete the sealing process. Polypropylene is commonly used in low pressure suction applications or with the discharge hose of a firefighting pump. It has a working temperature range between 15°F and 200°F and is resistant to most aggressive chemicals.
