Stainless steel Type B camlock’s are paired with male couplers like Type F, E, and A couplers. The coupler and adapter are joined after contact with the gasket is made. Once contact is made, the cam arms close simultaneously to produce a seal against the gasket. Stainless steel camlock fittings are commonly used in food or sanitary environments, as they help prevent contamination in transport. Stainless steel camlocks have a working pressure of up to 250psi (depending on size) and a working temperature range between -150°F and 500°F.
