JACO nylon 6 fittings are tough, strong, and abrasion-resistant with excellent impact resistance. Nylon's versatility makes it one of the most widely used thermoplastics. JACO nylon fittings are an off-white color and maintain good strength at high temperatures, making it suitable for use in both hot and cold water applications. Nylon has good chemical resistance to organic solvents, oils, hydrocarbons, and fuels. JACO Nylon 6 fittings have poor chemical resistance to strong acids and bases and are not recommended for use with ammonium, boric acid, calcium, sulfuric acid, or hydrochloric acid.
